If you love matcha, you’ll definitely love Tealily. It serves absolutely the best matcha in Bangkok, and that’s saying something.
One thing though: because it is tucked away in a corner street, and looks just like any other house on Thonglor, it’s a little hard to find. Just follow our Google Map below and it will bring you to the shop without any hassle!
But it’s precisely that which gives Tealily a warmth that feels so homely. Bou, the bubbly owner, has done a wonderful job with her teahouse. You can feel Bou’s sincere passion and love for her shop that has naturally become her whole life.
Matcha Ice Cube Milk
This is matcha deconstructed – a glass of cool fresh milk and frozen green cubes of pure matcha heaven. Don’t let the presentation fool you. This is made of the finest matcha from Uji, Kyoto, which is home to the highest grade matcha in the world.
To enjoy this fascinating drink, simply pour the milk into the glass of matcha ice cubes. Watch as the rich green of matcha swirls into the creamy white milk. Give it a couple of minutes, and you’re ready to indulge.
It tastes phenomenal. The tea is rich and fragrant. Savour the fleeting matcha aftertaste on your tongue that keeps you wanting more. This is a product of refined skill – preserving classical authenticity with a twist of style.
Tealily’s Matcha ice cream dessert is another of our favourites. It comes with squishy mochi balls, homemade red bean paste and a sprout of whipped cream. Bou’s take on the classic Japanese style dessert tastes unbelievably authentic. Just a spoonful with their red bean paste will send your tastebuds to heaven.
A cool surprise is the Sakura Sorbet. It isn’t matcha per se, but it’s one of Bou’s newest concoctions. It’s a remarkably tasty ice ball with strong hints of plum. Surprising, especially for something made from a flower that isn’t remembered for its taste. See that cute sakura petal on top of it? Yeah, it’s typical of Bou’s quirkiness.
Tealily Feels Just Like Home
We absolutely love Tealily – not just for the sheer quality of their drinks and desserts. Rather, it’s the extremely warm and laid back vibes we get from being at home with Bou and her playful feline fluffball, Mochi.
